These works on paper are part of the series "The Devil Finds Work". The series highlights the physical and intellectual resources used by the Black body to attain autonomy. Each piece reflects a historical figure who created paths to freedom, documenting how the Black Body has had to navigate physical, social, and psychological spaces in America.
The Devil Finds Work's title is taken from a group of essays by James Baldwin on Identity and Racism in the American movie industry.
